The Meeting Factory is produced by A Recipe For Success and is based upon their award winning e-KIS Content Management System. When Tonya Hills and Jeff Hume founded A Recipe For Success in 1997 they pioneered a fresh approach to business and technology consulting.

What makes us different is that we always look at the business first, not the technology. Then, by matching the right e-business solution to a company’s operations, we create the right climate in which good results can prosper.


Managing Director

Since setting up A Recipe For Success in 1997, Tonya has led the successful delivery of all client projects, as well as taking on e-business consulting work for companies within the financial services and retail sector, and a variety of local and central government organisations.

With more than 20 years’ experience of working in the IT sector, Tonya has previously held a number of major strategic e-commerce roles within BT plc, Guardian Insurance and Lloyds of London. She also founded and chaired the Association of British Insurers’ Internet Group, which promotes best practice and usage of e-commerce within the insurance sector, and whose guidelines are now fully adopted by the DTI.


Director

As the co-founder of A Recipe For Success, Jeff directs the company’s business strategy and development. Since 1997, Jeff has managed the business’s growth from two to 20 people, has successfully secured government R&D funding, and continues to develop our relationship with key clients from a range of organisations, both big and small and across a variety of sectors.

Prior to setting up A Recipe For Success, Jeff worked for 15 years in the IT and telecommunications sector, where he held leadership roles in project and programme management, systems integration, finance and strategy.

Jeff has an MSc in Electrical Engineering from Imperial College, London, an MBA from Henley Management College and a marketing scholarship from the prestigious Ivey School of Management in Canada. He is also a Chartered Engineer and a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Tonya Hills and Jeff Hume are both frequent speakers at industry, business and marketing conferences and at the University of Essex, where their subjects range from business entrepreneurship to website usability and specialist technology issues.
